In 2014 the UK and Jersey government set in law what Maths was taught and how difficult it was for each year group.
Janvrin School wrote a "The Calculation Policy" to explain this to the adults that help with Maths.
This shows how the core operations (+ - x /) are to be taught to children as they get older.
This is all clearly written down with pictures for parents / guardians to read.
It is very important that any help they give uses the same methods shown.
